City leaders are allowing suburban sprawl to kill the American Dream
Cities and towns are struggling to keep up the excessive public infrastructure required to support suburban sprawl while having to cut important services like schools and parks and complete streets. Isolation and loneliness is up because we cannot connect in public spaces anymore. Education is down because we chosen to invest in the wrong planning styles. Sprawl was designed to be that way. Zoning requires it to be built that way. Zoning is designed and implemented by city leaders and it is killing the American Dream.
